- Teachers book one-way flights
to Taiwan.
- Teachers pay their fares up
front themselves.
- The full fare is reimbursed
by SES Taiwan in 2 instalments,
one after 3 months of the contract
and the second after 4 months.
- There are set arrival dates
throughout the year.
- Teachers are met at the airport
and taken to their accommodation
by SES Taiwan staff.
- Teachers are responsible for
their own travel costs.
- Because of the start and finish
times for a typical teaching day,
city rush hour can usually be
avoided.

Commuting
- Teachers will find accommodation
suitable to their needs for both
living and working.
- All DTE teachers teach in different
schools throughout the week (more
about DTE).
- Although a convenient a schedule
as possible is the aim, schools
can be spread widely. A teacher
can expect to commute but it is
unusual for teachers to be asked
to travel for more than an hour
and a quarter to a class or school
(the average is about 30 minutes).
- Trains and buses in all cities
are extremely clean, punctual
and efficient. Taxis are also
cheap.
